Documents stay in your browser

PDF World is designed to process documents on your device with browser APIs and WebAssembly. KJR Labs does not receive or store the files you select, their filenames, or their contents.

Files may remain temporarily in browser memory while a tool is open. Your preferences, such as display settings and keyboard shortcuts, may be stored in your browser. The service worker may cache application files so the app can load faster or work offline.

When network requests happen

The app may download code, fonts, or conversion components needed by a tool. A feature that you explicitly choose may also contact a third-party endpoint—for example, a timestamp authority used for a digital signature. The selected tool identifies that external action before it is used. The receiving provider handles the request under its own terms and privacy policy.

Visitor analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami instance to understand aggregate visits and which pages are useful. It records page-view information such as the page URL and title, referrer, browser language, screen size, and anonymous browser/device/country summaries. It does not receive document contents or filenames. We do not use advertising cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking.

Hosting and security data

Like any website, the VPS, reverse proxy, and security systems may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, request time, requested path, and browser user agent to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Accounts and payments

PDF World has no user accounts, subscriptions, payments, donations, or advertising profiles.

Your choices

You can clear locally stored settings and cached application files through your browser. Browser privacy tools or content blockers may block the analytics script without preventing the core PDF tools from working.
